Waiting For Corona

Hello and welcome to our new family blog, "Waiting For Corona". In this blog, we will be writing about our days in social isolation, documenting cool recipes and crafts we try, and linking presentations we create. Enjoy! (This was actually posted mid-March, but I've set the date as higher in order to 'pin' this message.)

-We went for our weekly walk along Revere Beach -We played a game, Saboteur (Yanna and Papa tied) -We tried to have a screen-free day; aside from a few moments of weakness and academic related necessities we did pretty well

-Yanna and Max had a remote art class -We went for a walk

-Yanna and Max had online math classes -We went for a walk -Yanna and Max worked on schoolwork -Mama went to Target -We got a kindle

-We went for a walk -Yanna talked to some friends -Yanna and Max did schoolwork

-Yanna, Max and Mama went for a walk -Mama went to the store to buy food for Yanna's friend's family -Papa went on a run -Mama taught Yanna and Max some of her exercises

-Yanna had a remote piano lesson -Max and Papa went on a run -Max played DnD online -Yanna and Mama went for a walk

-Max had a remote saxophone lesson -Yanna played шляпа over Zoom -We went for a walk

-We went to Revere Beach for a walk -We played Red Dragon Inn over Zoom with the Lubashevs -Max and Yanna made blondies that turned out more like cookies but still tasted good so who cares

-The four of us went on a walk -Yanna and Max had a remote art class -Yanna, Max and Papa played a new game: Eastern Wonders

-Yanna and Max had remote math lessons -Max played DnD online -Max and Papa went on a run -Yanna and Mama went on a walk

-Yanna, Max, and Papa played some poker and Max proved to be the fish -Yanna took some photos for her photography project -it was an overall uneventful day

-Yanna had online piano -Yanna and Mama went for a walk -Max and Papa went for a run -We had a little chill nonreligious abridged seder (happy passover!)

-It was the first day of "school" (i.e mandatory assignments) for Yanna and Max -Max had a remote saxophone lesson -Yanna and Papa went on a walk -Max and Papa went on a run -Max had a video call with his soccer team -Yanna talked on the phone with a friend -Mama went to the store

-We went for a walk along Revere Beach -Yanna talked on the phone with a friend -We started a new series, Giri/Haji

-Yanna, Max, and Papa played Red Dragon Inn versions 3 and 4 (Max won #4, and Yanna won #3) -All four of us went for a walk -Yanna and Max had a remote art class -We watched Rounders

-Max played DnD online -Yanna and Max had remote math lessons -Yanna and Papa went on a walk -Papa went on a run -We watched a film The Mystery Of The Blue Train -Papa went to the mechanic and also got toilet paper and paper towels from Target

-Yanna talked with her physics class over Google Meet -Max talked with his science class over Google Meet -All four of us went on a walk -Yanna and Max made brownies

-We pranked each other (see previous post) -Yanna had an online piano lesson -Yanna and Papa went on a walk -Max and Papa went on a run -Mama went on a walk -Papa went to the mechanics to swap out the tires on the car

-Yanna taped over the sensor on Mama's computer mouse -Papa put salt in Yanna's water bottle -Yanna put mints into Max's earbud case -Max scribbled sharpie on a piece of tape and put it over the light of the projector -Yanna Rick Rolled everyone -Papa put salt in Yanna's water bottle again -Yanna and Max taped memes around the house -Max put clementine slices in Yanna's water bottle -Yanna froze an apple -Papa put 'clogged: do not use' notes on the toilets -Yanna put paper towels in Max's shoes -Max moved Yanna's retainer and gum -Yanna put raisins in the microwave and almonds onto the plates

The  second puzzle is done! It was more difficult than the first, and I did it all by myself -- family members gave up. Took 6 days of on and off puzzling. Now we are out of puzzles... -Yury

-Yanna, Max and Mama walked to, around, and back from Fresh Pond -Max played DnD online -Yanna worked on her paint by numbers -Mama did her schoolwork -We watched the season one finale of Star Trek: Picard

-Yanna did lots of math -So did Max -Yanna had a remote piano lesson -Max went on a run with Papa -Yanna and Mama went on a walk -We got a new frying pan! Thank you, Amazon!

-Yanna and Max had an online drawing class where they drew falling and jumping figures -Yanna, Max and Mama went for a walk -Mama and Papa worked on the puzzle -Yanna and Max worked on their paint by numbers

-We received the enrichment activities from our teachers -Yanna, Max, and Yanna's friend Mina made cookies together while on a video call -Max had an online saxophone lesson -Yanna and Max went for a walk together -Mama braved going to Trader Joe's -It snowed! -Yanna finished a book -Papa continued work on the puzzle -Yanna worked on her paint by numbers

Yanna was the brave soul who stepped up to complete the hardest portion of the puzzle: the starry sky. After a little mishap involving the missing final piece, she located it under the puzzle and was the brave hero to place that final piece into its rightful place. See above:

MAX'S PANINI RECIPE: -2 pieces of brod -1 pickle -1 drumstick's worth of chicken -1 or 2 pieces of meltable cheese Put on a pan and press each side for 2-3 minutes.
